There are pockets of ignorance and cruelty that are difficult to eradicate and of which our wildlife is still hostage. Disturbing news about the sneaky use of poison arrives from Rieti’s county, in an area that could also be frequented by few specimens of Marsican bear, a species that in the past has paid a very high tribute to the vile practice of poisoned baits.
These images of poisoned griffons and wolves deeply sadden and outrage us. Our appeal to the institutions in charge is to intervene hard and eradicate these outbreaks of barbarism and contempt for everyone’s life.
