The discreet eye of the camera trap reveals us the bear’s technique to climb a tree and reach the coveted fruits! In this case it was a plum tree in the territory of Gole del Sagittario Regional Nature Reserve and WWF Oasis and the numerous sweet drupes have kept the young specimen engaged for long time. The DNA from the hair samples left on the trunk, collected by the Reserve’s staff and our volunteers for the Abruzzo and Molise Monitoring Network, allowed to identify the female bear F1.129 for the first time.
