The event “Wild Abruzzo: the spirit of untamed Italy” was held in London on October the 18th. An evening organized by The European Nature Trust (TENT) entirely dedicated to the Marsican brown bear and its conservation.
Two documentaries were screened during the event: “Path of the bear”, produced by Wildlife Media and made by Alessio Bariviera, Paolo Sodi and Chris Morgan, tells of the Marsican brown bear through the words of those who have always been committed to its conservation, the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise; “My Neighbor Is A Bear” by Mattia Cialoni Wildlife Photography & Filmmaking tells the story of the bear Amarena and her 4 cubs from the point of view of the inhabitants of a small village.
During the event there was no lack of moments of discussion, thanks to a panel attended by our president Stefano Orlandini and our friends Bruno D’Amicis Wildlife Photography and Umberto Esposito from Wildlife Adventures. Never in Italy had we seen so many people together to talk about the Marsican bear. Truly a beautiful evening which then translated into an important financial aid for Salviamo l’Orso.
