We are waiting for the snow

29 December 2023 | Non categorizzato

In the photo you can see the snow situation at 1880 meters in Ovindoli on December 29. The situation raises important questions about the recent investment of millions for new facilities in Sheet Valley.

The question arises: was there really a need to spend millions of euros of public funds on these new facilities, and more importantly, was it justified to destroy a piece of mountain protected by the Regional Park and Natura 2000 Network?

The enthusiastic proclamations of the mayor and Governor Marsilio, made when the appeal against the plants’ construction permit was rejected by the Council of State, now take on a different light. The reality of the current situation casts doubt on the validity of the investment and its consistency with environmental protection.

It is sad to see yet another waste of public money at the expense of mountains and nature, which once again seem to be mistreated. The issue goes beyond the economic aspect alone, involving values related to environmental sustainability and the preservation of our natural heritage.

In this context, it is crucial to think about the responsible management of public resources and the importance of carefully assessing environmental impacts before undertaking projects of this magnitude.
