In late August, we worked with a local locksmith to secure a well in the Pizzone area of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park.
This cavity, dangerous for bears and other animals, had been reported to be dangerous back in January, when the Isernia Fire Department had to intervene to save a dog that had fallen inside. Our action is part of the LIFE Bear-Smart Corridors project and was also supported by the City of Pizzone.
Through this safety work, we reduce risks to wildlife and people who frequent the area.
